Coronavirus/Morocco: 44 new cases in the city of Casablanca

The city of Casablanca has the highest number of new contaminations due to the coronavirus, this Friday, April 8, according to the latest epidemiological report from the Ministry of Health.

Morocco now has 1,163,888 confirmed cases, 1,147,093 recoveries, 16,061 deaths, 734 active cases, including 22 in serious condition (0 under intubation and 11 under artificial respiration). Similarly, no deaths have been recorded, compared to 100 new remissions, further notes the MoroccoLatestNews monitoring and monitoring platform, www.moroccolatestnews.com.

On the vaccination side, 24,793,626 people have been vaccinated since the launch of the campaign, including 23,268,356 who received the 2nd dose, and 6,178,202 the 3rd dose, said the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.

As for the geographical distribution of new cases recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, it is the region of Grand Casablanca-Settat which comes first among the most affected regions, accounting for 44 new infections, all recorded in the city of Casablanca, notes the the MoroccoLatestNews monitoring and monitoring platform, www.moroccolatestnews.com.

The regions of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (1 in M’diq Fnideq, 1 in Tangier-Assilah and 1 in Al Hoceima) and Oriental in Oujda-Angad report 3 new cases each.

The last regions to count a single new case are those of Souss-Massa, Draâ-Tafilalet, Fez-Meknes and Béni Mellal-Khénifra, respectively in Taroudant, Ouarzazate, El Hajeb and Béni Mellal.
