
Casablanca Stock Exchange: A week up

The Casablanca Stock Exchange closed the week from April 4 to 8, 2022 on the rise, its main index, the Masi, gaining 0.8% to 12,946.49 points.
The Morocco Stock Index 20 (MSI20), which reflects the price performance of the 20 most liquid companies, also gained 0.8% to 1,048.26 points and the Casablanca ESG 10, the Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) benchmark index. ), advanced 1.08% to 975.6 points.
These three indices thus reduced their annual underperformance to -3.08%, -3.45% and -2.25% respectively.
At the sector level, 15 indices ended the week on a positive note, against 8 in negative territory. The real estate index (+11.44%) recorded the best weekly performance, ahead of that of portfolio companies – Holdings (+3.3%) and beverages (+3.1%).
On the other hand, the electricity sector showed the strongest decline (-2.2%), followed by that of insurance (-1.30%) and engineering and industrial capital goods (- 1.01%).
The overall volume amounted to more than 641.26 million dirhams (MDH), including 559 MDH made on the central market (equities). On the podium of the most active values are Cosumar with a transactional volume of more than 148.02 MDH, Attijariwafa Bank (75.476 MDH) and Alliances (60.85 MDH).
Market capitalization exceeded 673.72 billion dirhams (MMDH).
In terms of values, the best performances were the work of M2M Group (+16.96% to 836.6 DH), Douja Prom Addoha (+12.63% to 8.65 DH), Alliances (+10.59% to 69.95 DH), Residences Dar Saada (+8.69% to 29.89 DH) and Moroccan Beverage Companies (+3.96% to 2,911 DH).
Conversely, Maghreb Oxygene (-7.82% to 332.3 DH), IB Morocco (-5.76% to 31.1 DH), Cartier Saada (-5.39% to 28.62 DH), SMI (-5% to 1,330 DH) and Promopharm SA (-4.6% to 1,100 DH) posted the biggest drops of the week.
