Braga vs. Rangers live score, updates, highlights & lineups from UEFA Europa League quarter-final
Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Rangers will look to continue to prove there is life after Steven Gerrard when they go up against Sporting Braga for a place in the semi-finals of the Europa League.
Gerrard guided Rangers to their first Scottish Premiership title in 10 years last season but then departed in November to take over as manager at Aston Villa in the Premier League.
Former Rangers star Van Bronckhorst replaced the Liverpool great and while hopes of retaining the championship are receding as they trail Celtic by six points, they have been a revelation in the Europa League.
They stunned Borussia Dortmund, one of the tournament favourites, with a swashbuckling 6-4 aggregate win in the knockout play-off round. Red Star Belgrade were swept aside 4-2 on aggregate in the last 16.
But Braga have also proved adept at being a surprise package in the tournament. They defeated Monaco 3-1 on aggregate in their last-16 tie: goals from Abel Ruiz and Vitor Oliveira gave them a 2-0 lead in the first leg and there was no way back for their Ligue 1 opponents from there.
Braga come into the game in high confidence after beating Benfica 3-2 on Friday. The result left them fourth in the Primeira Liga table, nine points adrift of Benfica in third and leaving their best prospect of reaching the Champions League in 2022-23 being winning the Europa League outright.
Awaiting the winner of this tie is a semi-final date with either RB Leipzig or Atalanta.

Braga vs. Rangers predicted lineups
Braga’s main focus is on the Europa League so coach Carlos Carvalhal is likely to go for his strongest line-up as he looks to take a lead to Scotland for the second leg.
Vitor Oliveira scored the winner against Benfica on Friday and will again be expected to be instrumental to their hopes of success.
Braga predicted lineup (3-5-2): Matheus (GK) — P Oliveira, Carmo, Tomena — Couta, A Horta, Musrati, Gomes, R Horta; — Mederios, V Oliveira

Rangers have not been shy in front of group in the knockout stages, notching up 10 in four games so far. But they will be without Alfredo Morelos for the trip to Portugal and indeed the rest of the season.
The Colombian striker has a thigh injury and Rangers will hope that the loss of the man with five goals in the Europa League will not dent their semi-final aspirations too badly.
Rangers predicted lineup (4-4-2): McGregor (GK) — Tavernier, Bassey, Goldson, Balogun — Lundstram, Jack, Ramsey, Aribo — Kent, Roofe
