Tigers left heartbroken after another late collapse
Another injury blow to Tom Trbojevic could have major State of Origin implications with the series kicking off next month.
Trbojevic left the field in the final 10 minutes with a groin complaint.
Speaking on Nine’s coverage post-match, Blues coach Brad Fittler said the team would have to wait and see the extent.
“You know it wasn’t good because (Trbojevic) came off when Manly was behind and Tom would never do that.
He’s carried a hip pointer the last couple of weeks and you saw last week where he got a needle in a bad place that caused some back spasms, but this definitely looks like a groin injury.
“He’ll know more over the next couple of days – tomorrow he’ll be nice and sore I’m sure – but in the next couple of days, we’ll get a better idea.
With the groin injury, compiled with the hip pointer and back spasms, Trbojevic could be forced to take a back seat for a few weeks.
