The CAN 2023 draw on April 19
The draw for CAN 2023, scheduled in Côte d’Ivoire, will take place on April 19 from 5:30 p.m., while the playoffs for this competition will begin in June, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced in a communicated.
The same source indicates that the draw for the Women’s African Cup of Nations (CAN 2022), scheduled for July in Morocco, will take place on April 25 at 8:30 p.m. GMT.
The preliminary rounds having already been played in March, all that remains is to set up the groups for the playoffs for the final phase of this African Cup of Nations, scheduled for Côte d’Ivoire in June.
The first two days will take place during the international window scheduled for May 30 to June 14.
For the other days, they will take place between September (19 to 27) and March 2023 (20 to 28).
The governing body of African football also announces the holding of the draw for the African Nations Championship, CHAN 2022, on April 28, said CAF, adding that the time will be confirmed later.
The African Nations Championship qualifiers will start in July 2022, according to the same source.
