Tangier’s Ittihad part ways with Argentine coach Miguel Angel Gamondi
The Ittihad Riadi of Tangier (IRT) officially announced on Sunday morning that it has parted ways with its Argentinian coach Miguel Angel Gamondi.
In a statement issued after an urgent meeting of its board of directors, held on Saturday evening, the IRT pointed out that the board of directors “has unanimously decided to unilaterally terminate the contract of coach Miguel Angel Gamondi and his assistant Tarik Chihab”.
This decision comes after the disappointing results of the IRT during the previous days of the Botola Pro D1, in particular the heavy defeat (4-1), last Friday, against AS FAR, as well as its premature elimination from the Cup of Throne against the Mansouria Association, which plays in the Amateur division.
The Bureau called “all the components of Ittihad Riadi de Tanger, including the supporters, the players, as well as the technical, administrative and medical staff to federate their efforts to make the club progress, achieve the expected objectives and achieve the positive results to which we aspire”.
After the 21st day of the Botola Pro D1, the IRT occupies a worrying 12th place with 24 points (7 wins, 3 draws and 11 losses).
