Mozart Group, a string quartet from Poland that offers a humorous take on familiar classical works, will perform May 19-21 in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Haifa.
The performers in “Mozart Comes to Town” are violinists Filip Jaslar and Michal Sikorski, Pawel Kowaluk on viola and Bolek Blaszczyk on cello. Over the last 30 years, they have performed together in more than 50 countries worldwide.
The four take familiar classics by Mozart, Strauss, Bach, Beethoven, Bizet and Paganini and spice them up with current musical styles and moves, such as performances of Beethoven in a country-and-western style or Mozart mashed up with the Beatles, along with dance moves onstage.
Tickets range in price from NIS 166 to NIS 279 for the Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Haifa performances of the tuxedo-clad quartet, who love to poke fun at the renowned artists who make up their classical playlist.
