
Steelers QB Dwayne Haskins struck by vehicle, passes away at age 24

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins tragically passed away Saturday morning when he was struck by a vehicle in South Florida. He was 24 years old.

“I am devastated and at a loss for words with the unfortunate passing of Dwayne Haskins,” Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said in a statement. “He quickly became part of our Steelers family upon his arrival in Pittsburgh and was one of our hardest workers, both on the field and in the community.”
“Dwayne was a great teammate, but even more so a tremendous friend to many. I am truly heartbroken.”
Haskins was the 2019 Rose Bowl MVP for the Ohio State Buckeyes. The quarterback was selected 15th overall by the Washington Commanders in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Haskins spent the past season with the Steelers as their third-string quarterback.
