
Rabat: Exchange workshop on “best practices in the implementation of purchasing optimization”

An exchange workshop on “best practices in the implementation of purchasing optimization” was organized, Thursday in Rabat, by the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the United States Department of Commerce. America and the United States-Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) of the United States Department of State, in partnership with the Treasury General of the Kingdom (TGR).
In a joint press release, the three parties indicate that this event took place within the framework of bilateral cooperation between the TGR, the CLDP, and the MEPI, aimed at supporting Morocco’s efforts to promote efficiency, transparency and inclusiveness of the public procurement system.
The objective of the workshop was to draw up an inventory of the Moroccan experience concerning dematerialization as a tool for optimizing public procurement and to present public procurement mechanisms internationally and at the level of the United States. of America in resource optimization.
This event was attended by national and international experts and was an opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities for the promotion of the “purchasing” function, as a value-creating function, in particular, in an international context marked by the scarcity of resources and the marked reduction in the States’ budgetary leeway.
