National funeral for Guy Lafleur to be held May 3
The Montreal Canadiens announced the details for the tribute to legend Guy Lafleur including a national funeral that will be held on May 3.

Lafleur’s national funeral will take place at 11 a.m. ET at Mary Queen of the World Cathedral in downtown Montreal.
Additionally, Lafleur will lie in state at the Bell Centre on May 1 from noon ET to 8 p.m. ET and May 2 from 10:30 a.m. ET to 3 p.m. ET.
Hockey fans will be able to pay their respects to Le Démon Blond using the Bell Centre’s main entrance.
The Canadiens will also wear a ceremonial No. 10 patch on their jerseys starting with Sunday’s home game against the Boston Bruins. A special pre-game ceremony celebrating Lafleur’s life and legacy will be presented.
