LIVE: Fittler, Johns blast ‘laughable’ Bunker call
The Bunker has once again robbed the Knights in a big way.
After earlier denying Dane Gagai a try in strange scenes, the Bunker has now handed the Broncos a try despite a clear obstruction.
Knights defender Adam Clune was obstructed by Broncos forward Jordan Riki, as Te Maire Martin ran behind his teammate before passing the ball.
The play ended in Selwyn Cobbo scoring, but the Bunker examined the incident.
Somehow, the Bunker cleared the obstruction.
“A lot of times when they do catch on the inside, it doesn’t impede,” Brad Fittler said.
“This time you can clearly see Clune has Riki right in front of him, so he couldn’t see what Te Maire Martin was doing with the ball.
“That is a bad call. A bad call.”
Andrew Johns was simple livid.
“That is laughable,” Johns said.
