LIVE: Cowboys put Storm in unfamiliar spot
The Warriors dodge a major bullet there as Reece Walsh is allowed to stay on the field despite what looked an awful lot like a professional foul.
After looking like they were going to be stuck in the in-goal, Zac Lomax miraculously got the ball out and the Dragons threatened to go right down the other end to score a backbreaking try.
Amone had a break but was held up by Walsh, and the Warriors youngster seemed to hold onto Amone’s leg as the Dragons five-eighth attempted to play the ball and his called for a penalty.
However, despite the protestations of the Dragons, there is no further sanctions outside of a penalty.
Both Andrew Voss and Shane Flanagan aren’t too sure about that call.
“He’s leaving him there, that’s extraordinary!” Voss says on Fox League’s coverage.
“Should this have been sin-binned? Consistency says absolutely he should’ve been sin-binned.”
“I couldn’t agree more, Vossy,” Flanagan adds.
“He didn’t play the ball properly. Why didn’t he play the ball properly, because there was someone holding onto his leg slowing the play-the-ball down. It has to be a sin bin.”
Lomax drills the penalty goal and it’s a converted try the margin now as we head into the final nine minutes. Dragons lead 24-18.
