James Maloney banned for positive drug test
Australian rugby league champion James Maloney has reportedly tested positive for a banned substance in France.
According to French publication L’Independant, the 35-year-old Aussie failed a routine drugs test following a game for his club Lezignan on March 19.
Maloney has been suspended from playing, according to the report.

The case is yet to be processed by France’s anti-doping agency, and his B sample has not yet been tested.
Maloney was an NRL champion for a decade before heading to France to play for Catalans in the Super League three years ago.
He won premierships with the Roosters and Sharks, and was then instrumental in the resurgence of Penrith into an NRL force.
He played 14 Origins for NSW and three Tests for Australia.
