Improvement of rail transport services for the benefit of health personnel

The Hassan II Foundation for the promotion of social works for the benefit of public health sector personnel and the National Railways Office (ONCF) signed, Wednesday in Rabat, two new partnership agreements to improve rail transport services and roads for members of the Foundation and their families.
Under this agreement, signed in the presence of the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Khalid Ait Taleb, by the Acting President of the Foundation, Brahim Oubaha, the Director General of ONCF, Mohamed Rabie Khlie as well as the General Manager of Supratours, a subsidiary of ONCF Mohammed Charif, members of the Foundation, their spouses and children aged 4 to 21, benefit from preferential tariff offers compared to general public tariffs with a reduction of 40% on tickets.
Thus, the members of the Foundation, numbering nearly 70,000, will benefit from a 40% discount on the various routes, in particular Al Atlas, Rapid Shuttle Trains (TNR) and High Speed Train (TGV) “Al Boraq” and will also extend to “Supratours” coaches for staff in the sector when traveling in areas not served by trains.
Similarly, the Foundation takes charge of between 40% and 25% of the ticket reduction, while the ONCF takes care of the remaining 15%.
Speaking on this occasion, Khalid Ait Taleb welcomed the signing of these two agreements which are part of the new dynamics experienced by the sector in recognition of the commendable efforts and sacrifices of health personnel.
For his part, the director general of the ONCF, Mohamed Rabie Khlie, specified that this new partnership, which comes to corroborate the services previously offered by the ONCF to the members of the Foundation, is intended as a reward in favor of the civil servants of the Health for their sacrifices, especially during a period of confinement.
In a statement to the press, the interim president of the Brahim Oubaha Foundation said the signing of these two new agreements is part of the Foundation’s strategy to diversify, extend and improve the services of rail and road transport provided by the company, a subsidiary of ONCF, “Supratours”, for the benefit of members.
Some 726,377 trips on board the train have been recorded since the entry into force of the convention in 2019 until 2020, for which the Foundation has paid a subsidy of more than 7.5 million DH , while 34,671 trips were recorded with Supratours for an amount of nearly 1.3 million DH.
