‘I f—ing hate this place’: Phillies’ Alec Bohm caught mouthing Philadelphia insult, apologizes post-game
It’s an F-Bomb from A-Bohm.
Alec Bohm had a night to forget on Monday: While he went 1-for-1 with two walks and a run scored at the plate, that didn’t quite balance out a nightmarish outing in the field, with three errors, all throwing, in three innings.
After making a successful putout in the second, Bohm heard sarcastic cheers from the Phillies faithful, and cameras and lip-readers caught him mouthing a bit of an insult to teammate Didi Gregorius.
“I f—ing hate this place,” Bohm seemed to say.
Phillies fans gave Alec Bohm an ovation after making a routine play at third

MORE: Hey, where are the Phillies’ cream uniforms?
While athletes have had a propensity to dodge questions about things said in-game, Bohm actually took ownership of what he said and apologized for it following the game.
“Look, emotions got the best of me. I said it,” Bohm said following the game. “Do I mean it? No. It’s a frustrating night for me, obviously. Made a few mistakes in the field. These people, these fans, they just want to win. You heard it — we come back, they’re great.
“I’m sorry for that. I don’t mean that. Emotions just got the best of me.”
When asked if he “actually loves this place”
“You know what? I do. Yeah,” Bohm said with a smile.
Does Alec Bohm actually “hate this place?”
Doesn’t sound like it.

Luckily for Bohm, the Phillies overcame a 4-0 deficit in the eighth inning to take a 5-4 victory over their division rival Mets. Bohm kicked off the five-run rally with a walk.
Hopefully, everyone will accept Bohm’s apology and move on. Thankfully, Philadelphia fans aren’t known for holding grudges or being vindictive or anything.
