Ministry of Health decided to convert Mishref Hall no 8 to an expatriate testing centre after the centres at Shuwaikh and Sabhan witnessed a large crowd. As the return traffic to Kuwait is normal and Kuwait started witnessing the influx of large numbers of new expatriates to the country, the number of expatriates to conduct the medical test for residency purpose is also increased.
Converting the field hospital in Mishref into an expatriate medical test centre would contribute to accelerating the pace of completing medical checks for expatriates before completing the residency procedures.
The Mishref hall will have the facility to accommodate a large number of visitors daily, while the centre also has facilities such as air-conditioned halls for waiting areas, large spaces for car parking, etc.
The authorities are setting up the Mishref hall with relevant equipment for expatriate medical checkups, connecting the system between different ministries such as the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Interior, etc.
At present, there are centres in Shuwaikh, Jahra, Sabhan and Fahaheel. According to the report, whether to receive expatriates from all governments or any specific governorates to the Minshref centre will be decided soon.
