In 24 hours, 7,254 PCR tests were carried out in Morocco for a national total of 12,317,002 tests carried out since the start of the pandemic. Thus, active cases under treatment nationwide increased to 1,436 cases (0.11%).
In its epidemiological report for this Thursday, August 11, the Ministry of Health reports 41 critical cases admitted to intensive care nationwide, including 3 new admissions in the last 24 hours. The occupancy rate of resuscitation beds dedicated to Covid-19 stands at 0.8%. Similarly, 3 cases under intubation were identified on Thursday while the total number of cases under artificial respiration stood at 10 cases.
In addition, Morocco has recorded two deaths due to Covid-19 in the past 24 hours in the city of Sefrou (Fez-Meknes regions) and the city of Azilal (Béni Mellal-Khénifra region). The national total of deaths since the start of the pandemic therefore stands at 16,264. The fatality rate stands at 1.29% this Thursday.
Morocco has also recorded 294 recoveries, bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 1,245,464 remissions, while the recovery rate stood at 98.6% on Thursday.
