The most anticipated season in WNBA history will soon give way to perhaps the most anticipated All-Star Game in WNBA history. It just won’t be played the traditional way.
Because this is an Olympic year, the WNBA All-Stars will instead face off with Team USA’s 5-on-5 Olympic women’s basketball roster before they head off to Paris.
What if a player who would ordinarily be a WNBA All-Star is on Team USA? There are quite a few of those cases, including Aces star A’ja Wilson. Those players were simply removed from consideration after the voting period, and the top vote-getters not assigned to Team USA were placed on the WNBA All-Star roster.
Here’s a first look at the WNBA All-Star roster and the Olympic roster it will be facing.

The following 12 players were selected to the WNBA All-Star Game. The starters will be determined by a combination of the fan vote, current players and media.

When is the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game?

- Time: 8:30 p.m. ET | 5:30 p.m. PT
- Location: Footprint Center, Phoenix
The 2024 WNBA All-Star Game between the WNBA All-Stars and Team USA will be played on Saturday, July 20, at the Footprint Center, home of the Phoenix Mercury. The game is scheduled to tip off around 8:30 p.m. ET.
The Footprint Center will also host the WNBA Skills Challenge and 3-Point Contest on Friday, July 19.
