‘Can’t catch a break’: Fresh injuries whack Broncos
The Broncos – particularly their halves – have had a horrific run with injuries this season, and Jock Madden is set for a lengthy stint on the sidelines now.
He had to be carried off Suncorp Stadium after suffering a hamstring injury losing a foot race to Brian To’o.
On Nine’s post-game coverage Danika Mason said Madden told her he’d injured his other hamstring twice before and knew immediately this one was much more serious.
Nine presenter James Bracey said it was as if the sniper got him from the stands.
Speaking to Darren Lockyer post-game, Reece Walsh lamented this latest another injury blow.
“I’m obviously disappointed for Jock … we can’t seem to catch a break with injuries at the moment,” he said.
“But that’s rugby league, we have to keep rolling with the punches.”
