Throne Cup (8th): Raja Casablanca in the quarters after winning a penalty shootout against Raja Béni Mellal

Raja Casablanca beat Raja Béni Mellal on penalties on Sunday at the Beni Mellal stadium of honor (4-2), in the round of 16 of the Football Throne Cup.

Regulation time ended in a 3-3 draw, on the achievements of Hamid Aheddad, author of a double (29th pen, 58th) and Jawad Herkass (90) for the greens, and Khalid Ait Ourkhane (35th, pen ), Mouad Goullouss (46th) and Achraf Rharib (57th, pen), for the Mellalis.

Raja thus won their ticket to the quarter-finals where they will have to face Wydad Casablanca, who had ensured their qualification on Saturday, by defeating Chabab Mohammédia (3-2).

Raja Casablanca joins Wydad Casablanca, FUS Rabat, Maghreb Fez, Union Touarga, Youssoufia Berrechid and Association Mansouria in the quarterfinals.
