Several airlines have set their sights on Morocco as a destination, and more recently, the foreign tourist industries in particular, German and British, have announced the organization of their annual convention in Morocco to highlight Morocco in their offers for 2022 and 2023. and to relaunch their post-pandemic activity.
Regarding connectivity, the 2022 summer season will be marked by the creation of 48 new lines, notes ONDA.
These include 2 lines at Mohammed V airport, 12 lines at Marrakech airport, 11 at Agadir and 9 at Nador, in addition to 48 new air routes for several airports (Mohammed V airport to Manama and Kuwait City, Tangier airport for Rome and London-Stansted and Oujda airport for Barcelona, Seville, Montpelier and Nantes).
Indeed, several companies are launching new routes, starting with the Spanish airline Iberia, which will launch six new routes this summer from Spain to Morocco, serving Nador, Casablanca, Tangier and Tetouan.
Towards Morocco, Iberia posted seasonal news from Spain with three new arrivals for Nador and three others for Casablanca, Tangier and Tetouan, according to Air Journal.
Thus, Nador airport will welcome three new routes: from Alicante-Elche from July 25 to September 1 without competition (2 flights per week), from Palma de Mallorca-Son Sant Joan from July 25 to September 1 (2 flights opposite Air Arabia Maroc and Air Europa), and from June 1 on departure from Malaga-Costa del Sol (2 flights opposite Air Arabia Maroc, Royal Air Maroc and Ryanair).
Tangier-Ibn Battouta airport will be entitled to two flights per week from June 3 to September 2, in competition with RAM and Ryanair, and finally Tetouan-Sana Ramel will be served from Malaga from June 4 to September 3 twice a week. compared to Ryanair alone.
For its part, Air Arabia has announced the launch of two new routes linking Seville to Casablanca and Tangier. The carrier will launch the new direct lines from Casablanca and Tangier from June 20, says a management statement.
The company will operate Casablanca-Seville flights on Mondays and Thursdays. As for Tangier-Seville flights, they will take place on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
These new routes are added to the list of Spanish cities operated by Air Arabia after Barcelona, Madrid, Malaga, Mallorca, Bilbao, Valencia and Murcia.
The Kingdom’s airports have achieved very good figures over the past two months following the authorities’ decision to open airspace in early February.
