Telephone conversation between King Mohammed VI and King Abdallah II

King Mohammed VI had a telephone conversation on Monday, April 18, 2022 with His brother, King Abdallah II Ibn Al Hussein, Sovereign of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

This phone call was an opportunity for the King to ascertain the state of health of the Jordanian Sovereign after the successful surgery he recently underwent.

The talks between the two Sovereigns focused on the developments and events experienced by the city of Al Quds and the Al Aqsa Mosque following the incursions into sacred places and attacks on the faithful, starting from the Presidency by King Mohammed VI, the Al Quds Committee and the Hashemite Trusteeship of King Abdullah II over Islamic and Christian Sacred Places in Al Quds Acharif.

The two Sovereigns considered that this escalation is likely to stir up feelings of resentment, hatred and extremism and to destroy the chances of relaunching the peace process in the region”.
