Ruben Amorim highlights FOUR major transfer exits in Man United squad update
Manchester United are reportedly closing in on a deal to bring in Sporting CP boss Ruben Amorim as Erik ten Hag’s replacement.
The Red Devils opted to sack Ten Hag earlier this week, after just three Premier League wins so far this season, leaving the team 14th in the EPL table.
Interim boss Ruud van Nistelrooy took charge of the 5-2 EFL Cup win over Leicester City in midweek and is expected to remain in charge for the home clash with Chelsea on November 3.

Amorim’s arrival is expected to be confirmed by mid-November with the Portuguese coach already rumoured to be planning a squad reshuffle before his move to Manchester.
As per reports from Teamtalk.com, Amorim has already indicated his plan to the United hierarchy, with four players highlighted for potential sale in the January market.
Brazil international Antony could be the first to be offloaded by Amorim, as he continues to struggle at Premier League level, with links to an Ajax return or a domestic loan until the end of the campaign.
Christian Eriksen is another name on Amorim’s possible exit list, with his contract expiring at the end of the season, and the former Tottenham star is not viewed is a priority sale.
United could be open to renewed interest in Casemiro from the Saudi Pro League, despite his spectacular goal against Leicester, with Victor Lindelof the final player on the four-man list – with his contract up in June.
January is the final chance to secure a transfer fee for Lindelof and Eriksen, and the club are happy to retain the pair as experienced options, but Casemiro’s sale could generate a sizeable fee and remove his hefty salary from the wage bill.
Antony is viewed as the main target for Amorim to offload with the 24-year-old developing into a symbol of United’s slide under Ten Hag’s watch.
