Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine started in February, players from both countries have been allowed to compete on both tours without their flags.
Belarus is considered a supporter of Russia in the invasion.
Russia’s Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev are ranked second and ninth, respectively, on the men’s side. Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus is No. 4 on the women’s side, while Russia’s Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova is No. 15.
Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam of the season, runs from June 27 to July 10.
The French Open, the second Grand Slam, has Russian and Belarusian players on its entry list.
