Report: Raiders, Derek Carr agree to three-year, $121.5M contract extension
The Las Vegas Raiders and quarterback Derek Carr have agreed to a three-year, $121.5-million contract extension, according to Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
Carr is already the longest-tenured quarterback in the AFC, and is now signed with the Raiders until the end of the 2025 season. His previous contract was a five-year, $125-million deal signed with Las Vegas in 2017.
His new annual average of $40.5 million is the fifth-highest among quarterbacks. He’s also the seventh to earn over $40 million or more per season, a list that includes Aaron Rodgers, Deshaun Watson, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Matthew Stafford and Dak Prescott.
