Police raid house and find huge cannabis farm with 100 plants
South Yorkshire Police have dismantled yet another elaborate illegal drugs farm in East Dene, Rotherham.
The indoor cannabis setup was found at an address that overlooks Herringthorpe playing fields after police received a report about three men attempting to gain access into the house on Clifton Avenue.
According to the police, the report came through around 12.30am on Saturday, April 30. When officers attended the property a short while later, they discovered a cannabis set up with a whopping total of 100 plants.

South Yorkshire police then dismantled the set-up and confiscated the plants. Images provided by residents to Yorkshire Live show several police cars parked outside a house in Clifton Avenue.
One resident told Yorkshire Live neighbours saw police battling to gain access to the property. He said: “Police presence on street and during the day a ram was used to break down the door as it had been nailed shut from the inside.”
Nobody has been arrested as yet, and police are investigating. A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “Officers attended a property on Clifton Avenue, Rotherham after they received a report of three men trying to gain access to the address around 12.30am on Saturday, 30 April.
“Officers found a cannabis set up in the property, with around 100 plants in total. The plants and equipment were removed and the property made safe. Nobody was arrested and enquiries continue. Anybody with information should call police on 101 quoting incident number 38 of 30 April 2022.”
