Pedro Benali new coach of Ittihad de Tanger until the end of the season
The Ittihad Riadhi club of Tangier (IRT), football section, announced on Monday that it had rehired the Moroccan-Spanish technician, Juan Pedro Benali, as the new coach of the city of Detroit until at the end of the current season.
Benali, who had trained the IRT in 2020, thus succeeds the Argentinian Miguel Angel Gamondi, who had separated from the Tangier club, along with his deputy, the former Moroccan international, Tarik Chehab, following the series of poor results recorded during the last days of the Botola Pro (D1) “Inwi” and the premature elimination of the IRT from the Throne Cup against the team of the Association Sportive Mansouria, which plays in the amateur division.
Juan Pedro Benali has a great knowledge of Moroccan football, having coached several clubs playing in the first division of the professional championship, including Chabab Mohammedia, Ittihad Zemmouri de Khemisset, Moghreb de Tetouan, Chabab Rif Al Hoceima and the Renaissance of Berkane.
He also has several experiences as a coach or assistant coach of Spanish clubs (Atletico de Madrid, Las Rozas, Racing Santander), Qatari (Al Gharafa), Emirati (Sharjah and Khor Fakkan) and Japanese.
