Oussama Idrissi is delighted to play against Sevilla FC

It is a meeting which has a particular importance for Oussama Idrissi. The Moroccan international spoke about this Friday’s match which will take place between his club Cadiz FC and his former club Sevilla FC.
On loan this winter from Sevilla FC to Cadiz FC, Oussama Idrissi wants to prove himself. The two Spanish clubs will face each other in La Liga on Friday 29 April.
The Cádiz forward spoke to the media from the Ciudad Deportiva Bahía de Cádiz press room, saying this weekend’s duel is very important to him.
“It’s a special game for me. I know the club perfectly, I played there the first part of the season. It’s special for Cadiz because there’s a lot at stake. I expect a lot from a big and special stadium. he explained.
“It’s true that Sevilla are in a good dynamic, it comes from the games won, but Cadiz comes from having done an excellent job in the last ten days. The team is doing well. I always want to show at the level Personally, I always want to give everything. It will be special for me to face those who were my teammates in Sevilla.”he added.
The former AZ Alkmaar player said he was delighted with the opportunity to play in the colors of the Cadista team. “I am very happy with my decision to come to Cadiz. My goals were to add minutes and help the team. So far, both objectives have been achieved. I add minutes and help the team to be in a good position for the remaining games”.
“I’m very happy with the atmosphere in the stadium. In the last match, the fans were very supportive and carried the team on a wing to enjoy a great second half. I expect a good atmosphere in Seville. Pizjuán will be a crowded stadium and there will be a lot of cadistas coming to support us. I am very happy with the support of the people in all the games we have played at home,” believes the Moroccan, who has a goal and an assist in 8 games.
As a reminder, Oussama Idrissi joined Sevilla from AZ Alkmaar last summer but things didn’t really work out for him at Sanchez-Pizjuan.
The Atlas Lion was already on loan at Ajax Amsterdam last year but hopes regular playing time in La Liga will help him.
The youngster is breathing new life into his career in the Cadiz ranks, given that in the Andalusian capital he has made just seven appearances totaling 245 minutes in all competitions so far this season.
Idrissi was educated at NAC Breda’s youth academy, until in the 15-16 season he signed for FC Groningen for their U21 team.
In 2018 he made the jump to AZ Alkmaar, where he remained until two years ago when he was signed by the Sevilla side. Quick, dribbling and with ease in one on one, Idrissi would be a perfect complement to take advantage of an incisive and vertical left lane alongside Espino.
Last season he played five games in La Liga and another two in the Copa del Rey. Very poor figures for a player who scored 17 goals two seasons ago at AZ Alkmaar. In Cadiz, they need a differential element like the Moroccan, and he needs a place like Cadiz to find himself.
