NRL investigating alleged homophobic slur
The NRL is investigating an alleged homophobic slur captured on camera during the Warriors’ golden-point win over the Cowboys in Brisbane on Friday night.
With about 20 minutes remaining in the match, won 25-24 by the New Zealand outfit at Moreton Daily Stadium, a Warriors player appeared to shout, “get up, Kyle, you f—-t”, after Cowboys winger Kyle Feldt stayed down due to injury.
The matter is in the hands of the NRL and, if the allegation is proven true, the perpetrator will be hit with a major punishment.

The ugly incident soured a captivating match decided by the right boot of Warriors halfback Shaun Johnson, who snuck a wobbling field goal through the posts in the first half of golden point.
Johnson’s successful field goal followed two failed attempts of his own and one by North Queensland halfback Chad Townsend.
