In Morocco, the occupancy rate of intensive care beds stands this Wednesday, May 4 at 0.2%. Thus, the total number of severe cases in the Kingdom stands at 12 cases, with no new cases admitted in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health reports in its daily epidemiological report.
A total of 22 new cases of infection with the new coronavirus (Covid-19) and 66 recoveries have been recorded in Morocco in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection said on Wednesday.
In addition, Morocco has carried out 3,951 tests, bringing the national total of tests carried out since the start of the pandemic to 11,148,661. In addition, Morocco has not recorded any deaths from Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the national total of deaths since the start of the pandemic to 16,069. The fatality rate is still stable at 1.38%.
In its daily bulletin on the epidemiological situation, the ministry also specified that the number of first-timers reached 24,807,272, that of people who received two doses amounted to 23,286,279, while 6,262,245 people received had three injections of the vaccine.
The new infection toll brings the total number of contaminations since the first case reported in Morocco on March 02, 2020 to 1,165,026, while the number of recovered people has increased to 1,148,661, i.e. a recovery rate of 98, 6%.
The Ministry of Health thus invites citizens to respect the rules of hygiene and health safety as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities by showing responsibility and patriotism.
