The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday, Nov. 5, and although there already have been several trades, including some involving big-name wide receivers such as Davante Adams, Amari Cooper, and DeAndre Hopkins, there are a few more deals that can go down between Halloween and Election Day.
Which players can still expect to put on new costumes…er, uniforms? Which teams will vote to make a big move?

Raiders trade for Steelers QB Justin Fields
The Raiders have their eyes on Shedeur Sanders and other top QB prospects in the 2025 draft, but it would make sense to take a shot on Fields to pair with his former Bears offensive coordinator Luke Getsy. The Steelers may not want to break up their ideal backup/starter situation with Russell Wilson and Fields, but they could be motivated to flip the latter if they get a great offer.
Cowboys trade for Browns RB Nick Chubb
The Browns need to get Chubb to a contending team’s backfield. The Cowboys scream “good fit,” as they’ve resorted to Dalvin Cook for help. This makes sense for both teams if the Cowboys are willing to part with a mid-tier trade asset.

Lions trade for Browns EDGE Za’Darius Smith
With Azeez Ojulari looking like he will stay a Giant and Maxx Crosby being a little expensive, it makes sense for Detroit to get immediate pass-rush help from the Browns’ complementary veteran to Myles Garrett.
Vikings trade for Patriots CB Jonathan Jones
The Vikings need some more trust in downfield coverage, as they’ve been burned by wide receivers all over the field when their pass rush isn’t going home. Jones would be a nice fit to upgrade Brian Flores’ defense.

Chiefs trade for Dolphins OT Kendall Lamm
Lamm is a versatile backup tackle who can even start if needed on the right side should Jawaan Taylor continue to struggle with critical mistakes.
Chargers trade for Saints EDGE Chase Young
Putting Young with Nick Bosa didn’t work for the 49ers, but how about putting Young in a situational pass-rush role behind Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack? Jesse Minter and Jim Harbaugh can get more out of the 2020 No. 2 overall pick.
Bills trade for Raiders LB Robert Spillane
The Bills have been hurting without Matt Milano (bicep) on the second level, and Terrel Bernard (ankle) has suffered multiple injuries. Spillane can clean up that mess for Sean McDermott.
Ravens trade for Jets CB D.J. Reed
This would be wild, but the Ravens should at least make the call for the Jets’ best corner this season (yes, including Sauce Gardner). Reed is a pending free agent set to break the bank, and Baltimore can get ahead of that.
Texans trade for Patriots WR K.J. Osborn
The Texans don’t need to go nuts trying to replace Stefon Diggs (knee) because Nico Collins will be back soon from his hamstring injury, but this former Vikings fill-in could fill an important depth role.
Buccaneers trade for Giants WR Darius Slayton
The Giants may be holding on to Slayton to complement Malik Nabers, but he’s a pending free agent who will net some decent value. Tampa Bay has gone wideout by committee with Mike Evans (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (ankle) hurt, and Slayton can be an experienced lift to match fellow former Giant Sterling Shepard.
49ers trade for Titans DT Sebastian Joseph-Day
The 49ers didn’t re-sign him in the offseason but could use him back to play a key part in their front-four rotation.
Colts trade for Panthers RB Miles Sanders
He had his best season with Shane Steichen in Philly, and should Indy want to get run-heavier without Anthony Richardson, they need a savvier backup to Jonathan Taylor than the mishmash of Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson.
