Mitchell tore his hamstring during Saturday’s win over St George Illawarra.
The injury will also put him in major doubt for State of Origin selection, with the series opener to be played on June 8.

Rabbitohs physio Eddie Farah explained why the injury is worse than first thought.
“The tear was located in the tendon, rather than the muscle,” he said.
“What that means is recovery is going to be a lot slower.”

Mitchell missed the second half of the 2020 NRL season when he ruptured his hamstring tendon.
He also missed the end of last season, and the start of this one, through suspension.
He played all three Origin games at centre for the Blues last year, but is next to no chance of making it back in time for Origin I in Sydney.
The Rabbitohs are expected to bring Blake Taaffe in at fullback to replace Mitchell from this week.
