Lionel Messi reveals what he misses most about Barcelona on Club’s 125th anniversar
Barcelona’s 125th anniversary brought back fond memories for Lionel Messi, one of the club’s greatest legends.
The Argentine superstar, who spent 21 years at the club, reflected on his time there in a heartfelt interview.
Messi joined Barcelona as a teenager in 2000 and went on to become their all-time top scorer with 672 goals in 778 games.
On this special occasion, he shared his gratitude and nostalgia. “It’s an honor to be part of the club and to be a Barça fan. I miss the club a lot — the city, the people, and the affection,” Messi said.

Messi opens up on his best memories at Barcelona
When asked about his favorite memory, Messi pointed to 2009, when Barcelona won six trophies in one year.
“You enjoyed every day, every training, every game. We had so much confidence that we were going to win,” he recalled.
Since its founding in 1899, Barcelona has become one of the most successful clubs in football history, with 36 La Liga titles and eight Champions League trophies.
