LdC: Liverpool qualified for the semi-finals at the expense of Benfica
Liverpool qualified for the semi-finals of the European Football Champions League on Wednesday by eliminating Benfica after a 3-3 draw in England.
The Reds, 3-1 winners in the first leg in Lisbon, were able to count on a double from striker Roberto Firmino (55th, 65th) and a headed goal from French defender Ibrahima Konaté (21st).
But the Portuguese did not give up by equalizing thanks to Ramos (32nd), Yaremchuk (73rd) and Nunez (81st).
Liverpool joins Villarreal, who beat Bayern on Tuesday, in the semi-finals.
