Launch of the 4th tranche by the Minister of Tourism at the UM6P in Benguerir
At the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Benguerir, the Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatim-Zahra Ammor, proceeded this Wednesday, April 6 to the launch of the implementation of the fourth tranche of the Mourafaka program aimed at supporting newly created cooperatives in the presence of several personalities, in particular the President of the UM6P, the Wali National Coordinator of the INDH, the Secretary General of the OCP Foundation and the Director General of the Office for the Development of Cooperation.
Renovated under the slogan ” For successful cooperatives », the Minister of Tourism recalled in her opening speech the importance of supporting newly created cooperatives and strengthening their technical and managerial capacities to enable them to fly on their own and ensure their sustainability.
The government official also underlined the importance of the involvement of universities and the private sector in supporting the various structures of the SSE, congratulating on this occasion, the president of the UM6P and the SG of the OCP Foundation. for their involvement in this important project, expressing its hope that the axes of the program meet the expectations of cooperatives in order to constitute a real lever for their revival and excellence.
In this sense, the Ministry of Tourism recalled in a press release that the implementation of the fourth tranche of the Mourafaka program is characterized by the signing of an agreement between the ministry, the Office for the Development of Cooperation, the OCP Foundation and the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University of Beni Guérir, which was entrusted with the implementation of support operations through specialized experts. Also, the same indicated that the cooperatives with the best development projects will benefit from funding from the OCP Foundation.
It is expected that 600 cooperatives will benefit from this 4th split into three phases, with 200 cooperatives for each phase. The first phase concerns the four regions of Guelmim-Oued Noun, Draa-Tafilalet, Marrakech-Safi and Rabat-Salé-Kenitra, the ministry said.
The program ” Mourafaka aims to support and accompany newly created cooperatives whose legal presence does not exceed four 4 years, and is based on three axes which relate to the strategic diagnosis of the beneficiary cooperatives to prepare their development plans, then the training of managers of cooperatives in the technical fields, the fields of governance, management and marketing, and finally the individual support of the cooperatives for a period of two years for the realization of their plans.
