Launch in Rabat of the Emirati campaign “Iftar Saïm”
The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Morocco, Al Asri Saeed Ahmed Aldhaheri, launched today in Rabat, the “Iftar Saïm” campaign (” إفطار الصائم“) in Morocco, in its 18th session which targets some 50,000 Moroccan families.
The “Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for Breaking the Fast in Morocco” campaign is launched every year during the month of Ramadan, with the blessing of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates. In his speech during the meeting, Al Asri Saeed Aldhaheri hailed the humanitarian and charitable initiatives undertaken by King Mohammed VI to relieve the suffering of needy people during the month of Ramadan.
The Emirati ambassador in Rabat also hailed the cooperation of the Moroccan authorities in launching the campaign, which he said reflects the spirit of solidarity and humanitarian cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
The launch ceremony of the campaign brought together a number of representatives of charities and humanitarian associations who are expected to contribute to the “Iftar for the Faster” campaign, providing support and food security to disadvantaged and needy families in several cities of the Kingdom. . food support and food security for people.
Khalid Hamoura, president of the Mid-Atlantic Association for Cultural, Social and Sports Development, told MoroccoLatestNews that this aid will be distributed to vulnerable, needy and needy people as a humanitarian pillar that falls within the framework cooperation and synergy between Morocco and the United Arab Emirates. For her part, Maha Benbrahim, president of the Al Rayan Association for the support of orphans and the needy and human development, said that the association has a program to target 700 families and 2,500 children during the holy month of Ramadan. , support for education and health.
The campaign to distribute food aid to disadvantaged and vulnerable people in this holy month is characterized this year by the expansion of the scope of food distribution operations to the different regions in the south of the Kingdom, in coordination with the local authorities. and cooperation with associations working in the charitable and humanitarian field, in addition to the continuity of the initiative to include various regions of the Kingdom, in particular the eastern regions (Missour, Outat El Hadj, Talsint, Bouarfa, Tata and Foum Zguid).
