Jesy Nelson leaves a recording studio in LA while working on new solo music
She is over in Los Angeles working on music for her debut solo album.
And Jesy Nelson was spotted leaving the recording studio earlier this month, after jetting stateside to continue working on her new album.
The former Little Mix star, 30, oozed summer chic as she stepped out in the sunshine in a tiny white PrettyLittleThing crop top, which revealed her toned midriff.

Jesy styled the skimpy top with a pair of denim cargo-style trousers and white heeled boots, which boosted her petite frame.
The former X Factor contestant accessorised her look with a white Balenciaga handbag and a gold chain necklace and a series of chunky statement rings.
Jesy wore her brunette locks in bouncy ringlets and opted for a full face of make-up for the outing, complete with a smokey-eye and nude-lined lip.

The outing comes after Jesy severed ties with her on-off boyfriend Harry James in a ‘drastic’ bid to keep her solo career afloat, along with the rest of her team.
Jesy allegedly reconnected with the music director, 28, in September 2021 following their 2017 split and he was even credited as the sole editor of her debut single Boyz’s video last year.
She’s now taken the ‘savage’ move of unfollowing him on Instagram, which he has also done, with an insider claiming it comes after she was criticised for ‘blackfishing’ in the visual which Harry masterminded.

A source told The Sun: ‘It may seem savage but it’s business. The bottom line is that video almost derailed her chances of a solo career.
‘Changes had to be made and this was one of them. Because of their history it was decided a working split was needed.’
Despite the controversy regarding her tanned complexion and hip-hop music genre, Jesy achieved her first Top Five hit on the UK Singles Chart with the track – and its video has garnered 21 million views on YouTube.
Jesy’s representatives were contacted for comment by MailOnline.
A source close to the situation however refuted that Harry was to blame for the video’s entire creative concept, saying: ‘To state that Harry was the mastermind behind this one video is categorically false. All video concepts would need to be fully approved by the actual artist in question leading up to the day of filming and Harry was not a part of that process.
‘As continuously reported over the last few years, Harry has had a friendship with Jesy and that is all. His role on this video was solely in a director capacity and he had no say on any brand choices including fashion, hair, makeup or look, only Jesy would have that approval for herself.’

She and her fellow Essex native were last pictured together in October – a month after they enjoyed a luxury holiday in Antigua.
An insider told The Sun at the time: ‘Jesy and Harry always got on like a house on fire and have been spending a lot more time together recently.
‘Antigua was a great way to reconnect with the privacy of no one knowing who they were.
‘Jesy has had her own battles but with her solo career ready to go and her bond with Harry stronger than ever she’s really in the best place. She can’t wait for what the rest of the year will bring.
Controversy: She’s now taken the ‘savage’ move of unfollowing him on Instagram, which he has also done, with an insider claiming it comes after she was criticised for ‘blackfishing’
‘He is helping her with her career but also there for her privately. They have both matured a lot since they were last together and have grown very close.’
Harry started dating Jesy back in 2017 and the pair were together for 16 months before they called time on their relationship.
The pair reunited professionally for her new music video which saw her call on some of music’s biggest names for cameos.
Harry also photographed the ex-girl band star for her recent magazine cover shoots.
The Brit Award winner was forced to defend herself after being met with a plethora of allegations that she had been attempting to appear as though she has black heritage back in December.

In an interview with Vulture, she claimed that the term had never been directed towards her before her departure from the girlband.
She went on to add: ‘I’m very aware that I’m a white British woman; I’ve never said that I wasn’t.
‘But I mean, like, I love Black culture. I love Black music. That’s all I know; it’s what I grew up on,’ the Essex-born star said.
When quizzed about claims that some of her Instagram followers were blocked by her account after commenting that she appeared to be Blackfishing, Jesy said it may have been a member of her team.

The Power hitmaker later added that her management team have deleted comments and blocked users in the past, following years of trolling online.
‘I take all those comments made seriously. I would never intentionally do anything to make myself look racially ambiguous, so that’s why I was initially shocked that the term was directed at me,’ Jesy’s publicist told the publication.
Little Mix also revealed they had warned her about blackfishing before her shock exit from the group last year.
Jade Thirwall, 28, admitted she, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 30, and Perrie Edwards, 28, had a ‘friendly, educational’ chat with Jesy, 30, after she began to overhaul her image.

Jesy was reportedly criticised in Instagram messages by her former bandmate Leigh-Anne for appropriating black culture and darkening her skin with fake tan and changing her hair in the Boyz video.
The group recently confirmed they had spoken to her about the difficulties in the way she presented herself, but insisted it happened before she quit last year.
Jade told Stella magazine: ‘We don’t want to talk about the video, or be critical, but one thing we will clarify regarding the blackfishing situation is that Jesy was approached by the group in a very friendly, educational manner.’
Leigh-Anne added: ‘Capitalising on aspects of blackness without having to endure the daily realities of the black experience is problematic and harmful to people of colour.
‘We think it’s absolutely not OK to use harmful stereotypes. There’s so much to say on that subject that it’s hard to sum up in a sound bite.’
This comes as it was claimed Jesy never wanted to be locked in a feud with her former Little Mix bandmates and feels it is ‘getting a bit much’.
The singer quit the band last December, saying she found the pressure of being in a girl group difficult to deal with.
