Innovative and creative young people represent an added value to achieve the qualitative development to which Morocco aspires now and in the future, underlined, Friday at the Polydisciplinary Faculty of Larache, the Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour.
During a meeting organized by the Moroccan League of Youth and Students, in coordination with Abdelmalek Essaâdi University, Ryad Mezzour indicated that Morocco’s development model in general and the industrial recovery plan in particular place youth at the center of any qualitative development, noting that the ministry is currently looking into several industrial projects, 1,000 of which should generate more than 80,000 direct jobs and 120,000 indirect jobs.
The Minister said that this meeting is of great importance since it is an opportunity to communicate with the young people of the region and to inform them of the programs and opportunities offered to them, in order to actively adhere to development projects with the accompaniment of the government, noting that the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region is experiencing remarkable development at all levels, which makes it a national model in the industrial field and the economy of the future.
He said that the province of Larache is full of enormous potential that the government is working to enhance and develop, with the optimal use of the skills of the graduates of the Polydisciplinary Faculty and other specialized training institutes and schools, adding that the province has many assets, in particular its proximity to the Tanger Med port and its important infrastructures which arouse the interest of investors.
For his part, the president of the University Abdelmalek Essaâdi, Bouchta El Moumni, affirmed that the university and the governmental sectors work side by side, in order to invest, in an optimal way, the competences of the young people of the region and to encourage them to innovate and be creative in the various value-added areas, as well as to contribute to finding innovative solutions and achieving overall development.
He added that the university is working to develop the skills of young people and encourage them to engage in the industrial revival of Morocco, in accordance with the objectives of the new development model, noting that the university is working to promote its openness. on its economic environment, and to strengthen its structures and training programs, in order to ensure the balance between training, economic development, labor market challenges and investor aspirations, particularly in vital sectors such as industry , maritime fishing, renewable energies and tourism.
For his part, the coordinator of the Moroccan League of Youth and Students, Mohamed Nawfal Amer, stressed that this meeting is part of the activation of the institution’s strategic plan for 2018-2022, particularly in its component relating to support for the political and economic empowerment of young people.
This meeting, placed under the theme “Young people and industrial revival in Morocco…between labor market requirements and implementation of the development model”, is an opportunity for young people to learn about the various programs and policies related to industry in Morocco, the horizons of industrial investment, and mechanisms for the integration of young people into the economic fabric, he noted.
This meeting, he continued, is also an important opportunity to highlight the potential of the province of Larache in the various economic fields, and the fundamental role played by the university in the development of the assets of the region. and support for young people.
