Huge investment opportunities to seize
The president of the Moroccan Association of Exporters (AMSEX), Hassan Sentissi El Idrissi, called for seizing the various investment opportunities offered by Morocco, in order to serve both the Moroccan market and the African markets, of the continental agreement African Continental Free Trade Area (ZLECAF).
During a meeting held recently in Casablanca with Lawrence M. Randolph, the Consul General of the United States in Casablanca, Hassan Sentissi El Idrissi also underlined the need for Morocco to benefit from American technologies, particularly in terms of desalination of seawater to meet the needs of several regions of Morocco, says ASMEX in a press release.
The President of ASMEX also proposed the creation of a mixed shipping company in order to allow a massification of trade flows between the two countries and take advantage of the opportunities offered by the free trade agreement concluded between the two countries. .
In addition, and as part of the promotion of the “Select USA 2022” Investment Summit, the Consul General of the United States and his collaborators emphasized the opportunities that the United States of America offers to investors in its various states.
They invited Moroccan operators to participate in this annual event which highlights the current investment environment in the United States and industry trends. This summit is scheduled for June 26-29, 2022 in Washington and will welcome high-level participants from all 50 US states to help build relationships and develop economic activities.
In order to promote the participation of Moroccan companies in this important event, it was agreed to organize a webinar “in the coming days” to which Moroccan companies and those from sub-Saharan Africa will be invited, notes the same source.
