France-Presidential: Hidalgo and Jadot call to vote Macron in the second round
Socialist party candidate Anne Hidalgo (2%) called on Sunday to vote “against the far right of Marine Le Pen” in the second round of the presidential election on April 24, after a historic low for the PS at 1 .9%.
“So that France does not fall into hatred of all against all, I call on you with seriousness to vote on April 24 against the extreme right of Marine Le Pen by using the Emmanuel Macron ballot paper”, a-t- she said from her campaign HQ.
The same call was launched by the ecological candidate, Yannick Jadot (4.8% of the vote), who urged the French to block the far right, and to vote Emmanuel Macron.
For her part, the candidate of the main right-wing party, Valérie Pécresse (4.3% and 5%), did not give any voting instructions. However, she has made it known that she herself will vote for Macron on April 24, despite her “deep differences” with the outgoing president.
