Flames to face Stars in first round of Stanley Cup playoffs

The Calgary Flames will square off with the Dallas Stars in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs after a wild turnaround in the final game of Friday night’s schedule.
The Nashville Predators blew a 4-0 lead against the Arizona Coyotes and lost 5-4, allowing Dallas to take the first wild-card spot and a playoff date with Calgary.
The Predators finished one point behind Dallas and will face the Western Conference-winning Colorado Avalanche.
Calgary was 2-0-1 against Dallas this season.
It’s a rematch of a first-round series played in the Edmonton bubble in 2020 when the Stars won in six games.
