Centrale Danone distributes food baskets for the benefit of people in difficulty in Casablanca

After launching the “10,000 ftours” initiative, Centrale Danone is continuing its drive for solidarity in this holy month of Ramadan. In partnership with the M’jid Foundation, Centrale Danone is distributing 4,000 food baskets during the last week of Ramadan to people and families with no income, from disadvantaged neighborhoods in Casablanca.

This new action, in which the company’s employees participate, demonstrates Centrale Danone’s values ​​of solidarity and sharing towards the most vulnerable. Created in 2000, the M’jid Foundation fights against social and economic exclusion by developing several programs targeting, among others, widows, students, the blind and patients with kidney failure.

“We are happy to support the M’jid Foundation in this action of solidarity with people and families weakened by the economic situation. We thus wish to express our solidarity with the most vulnerable in the current difficult context for families.” declared Meryem Arbani, Communications Director of Centrale Danone.

The solidarity action carried out with the M’jid Foundation is added to a set of solidarity actions that Centrale Danone deploys throughout the year, in particular donations of dairy products in partnership with several associations, spread over the national territory. In 2021, the company distributed the equivalent of 6 MDH in dairy products in the form of donations to associations. In 2020, Centrale Danone participated in the Covid fund as part of the national solidarity drive up to 10 million dirhams.

All of these actions illustrate Centrale Danone’s commitment to give a concrete dimension to its corporate social responsibility by listening to its various communities as part of an approach that is both local and sustainable.
