Canadian point guard Andrew Nembhard declares for NBA Draft

Canadian point guard Andrew Nembhard is declaring for the NBA Draft, opting against returning to Gonzaga.

A senior who transferred from Florida after two years, Nembhard helped Gonzaga reach the NCAA final last year before the team fell in the Sweet 16 this year after earning the No. 1 overall seed for the second year in a row.

A native of Aurora, Ont., the six-foot-five Nembhard registered career highs in points (11.8 average), assists (5.8) and three-point percentage (38.3) this season.

Internationally, the 22-year-old Nembhard played for Canada at the 2019 FIBA World Cup in China.
