Bruins’ Lindholm ‘not doing well’ after taking hit by Hurricanes’ Svechnikov
Boston Bruins defenceman Hampus Lindholm is “not doing well” after getting hit by Carolina Hurricanes forward Andrei Svechnikov, according to Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy.
Lindholm was levelled by the Canes winger with 2:54 remaining in the second period and was visibly shaken after the hit. No penalty was called on the play.
The 28-year-old Swede was helped off the ice by teammates Jake Debrusk and Taylor Hall and did not return to the game.
After the game, Svechnikov said he felt sorry for Lindholm.
“I like the physical part of the game, but I feel bad for that guy, it was a pretty hard hit,” he said. “I feel bad and sorry for him.”
