Blue Jays’ Vladimir Guerrero Jr. back at first base for opener vs. Astros

Toronto Blue Jays star Vladimir Guerrero Jr. will be back in the starting lineup and playing first base when the team opens a weekend series against the Houston Astros at Rogers Centre Friday.
Guerrero Jr. missed Thursday’s win over the Boston Red Sox as a precaution after he fouled a ball off his foot in Wednesday’s loss. X-rays on his foot came back negative.
The runner-up for the AL MVP award last season is off to another hot start to this campaign, hitting .309/.380/.559 with five home runs in 19 games.
