At least 13 injured in NYC subway shooting, possible explosive devices found
NEW YORK — New York City authorities said at least 13 people had been injured in a shooting incident at a Brooklyn subway station on Tuesday morning.
Early reports said there were also explosive devices discovered at the scene. The police department later tweeted that there were “NO active explosive devices at this time.”
Police reported multiple injuries due to either gunfire or an explosion.
The first calls about the emergency came in at around 8:30 a.m., during rush hour.
Photos from the area showed bloody civilians on a subway platform shrouded in smoke.
First responders arrived at the scene following reports of smoke from the subway station.

CNN reported that 13 people had been rushed to hospitals, with at least one in critical condition.
The incident occurred in the Sunset Park neighborhood at 36th Street and 4th Avenue at a station for the D, N and R subway lines.
An NYPD bomb squad was on the scene and an FDNY spokesperson said undetonated possible explosive devices were found on the scene.
Police said a suspect may have been dressed as a construction worker and wearing a gas mask.
The Metro Transit Authority said there will be major delays to the subway system citywide.
The NYPD called on New Yorkers to avoid the area and call in with any information.
