23.5 million ticket requests

FIFA said 23.5 million World Cup tickets were requested in the latest round of sales for the tournament which begins in Qatar in less than seven months.
Argentina, Brazil, England, France, Mexico, or even Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United States dominated the requests, said the world body.
Already 800,000 tickets distributed. The same draw system had already been used for the first sales phase in January: only 804,186 tickets had been allocated out of the 17 million requests.
Of the 3 million existing seats, only 2 million are available for sale, the last million being distributed to FIFA and its partners. A final sales phase will take place for the remaining places after the second draw, to distribute the final tickets.
Despite the large number of ticket requests, a lot of criticism surrounds the management of supporters in Qatar. The places for the final are in particular 30% more expensive than in Russia, four years ago, while accommodation on site should also prove to be very expensive.
As a reminder, ticket applicants will be notified of the outcome of their ticket applications by email from May 31, coinciding with the start of the scheduled payment period.
Visa payment cards are the exclusive method of payment accepted for residents of Qatar, while Visa and other selected payment cards are accepted for international fans. Visa is the preferred payment solution for this World Cup.
Fans who get their ticket requests and make payment will be able to book accommodation and apply for a Hayya card through Qatar2022.qa.
Fans who did not apply or did not pass this raffle sale period will have another chance to secure some of the most sought-after tickets on the planet during the upcoming first-come, first-served period. , which will be launched on FIFA.com/tickets in due course.
